Star Child

She was a star child, an archaic soul

glowing in a soft-skinned body of eternal youth.

She could decode the craters of the moon,

like beautiful runes of a language only her

earthbound tongue could annunciate;

and when she did, it was beyond poetry.

It was sweet music, serenading the soul

into the memory of its infinite existence.
