I am a Queen

You see me walking the dirty street,

and yet, our eyes will never meet.

You’re afraid to really look, aren’t you, hun?

You’re afraid to hold that loaded gun.

What it means, to witness all that goes down,

when you’re walking over, in my part of town.

Just don’t be afraid, to look in my eyes.

I think what you see, will be a surprise.

I am a queen, love! I’m proud of who I am.

Some might not like it, but I don’t give a damn.

These streets have its issues, that need to be solved.

Just don’t forget, we’re not just bodies, but people involved.

I am a queen. I have worth, just like you.

Royalty is in the soul, if only you knew.
